DIY: Hose Chair

I just ran across this Instructable today, and I must say, I’m impressed. I might do something a little more modern, like paint the wood hi-gloss red or stain it espresso.
But all in all, it’s a very novel — quite sturdy — way to upcycle a piece of rubber air hose.

“Assuming the hose is recycled…the only other materials are one 2’x 2′ piece of 3/4″ plywood and four 2′ x 1/2″ dia. threaded rods with nuts and washers. There is almost no waste from the process, making it quite efficient for both the environment and your wallet. Out-of-pocket costs are about fifteen-twenty bucks, depending.”

Super comfy with little waste? What more could a girl ask for.

  1. Bruce says:

Now you just hook it up to a spigot and nozzle. Instant lumbar support and spray control.

  2. Not to mention…a cooled tuchus. 😉
